Winter’s Beard

Southern Wisconsin
I love what snow does to a landscape. Everything seems calmer covered with snow. This stubble field reminds me that the cycle of life is a thing of beauty happening before our eyes. This is the quiet time. A time for reflection. A time to be thankful for what we have received.

Gazing

Entranced by the water, these three are each right at home in their own way. It was a great day for strolling the beach and taking photographs. This little snap of life involved an experiment with the saturation settings on my camera and I’m happy with the end results.
The setting is the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago. This is an easy walk from where I live and the warm weather found people out in force. After a long winter, it’s nice to see folks in shorts for a change.
